Elon Musk said Sunday that he could cut $2 trillion in federal spending, offering his vision for a solution if Donald Trump wins the presidential election.
"I think about 2 trillion dollars. "All that double spending, taxes, whether direct or indirect, your money is wasted," he said, speaking at a mass rally of Trump supporters at Madison Square Garden. "We will take the government out of your neck and out of your pocket." added Musk.
He did not specify how long the savings would take. Earlier, Trump said he was ready to ask Musk to lead a cost-cutting initiative called the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), referring to the cryptocurrency Musk supports.
