"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:
"A tense atmosphere has been observed in the hall of the National Assembly in the last two days. It can be said that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan faced the "organizational inattention" of his team for two days in a row and had an outburst. Just two days ago, in the presence of members of the government, deputies, the prime minister got angry with Andranik Kocharyan, deputy of the "Civil Agreement", who was supposed to approach the podium, but was not in the hall. The session was adjourned. However, yesterday the situation became more complicated.
At 10:01, the Prime Minister was already in the National Assembly together with his cabinet, but the hall was almost empty. Many CP deputies had not yet arrived at work. The present oppositionists were not registered, and the session was canceled for about 10 minutes. The cameras captured the moment when Pashinyan, openly displeased, scolds the Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, stating that he moved the Cabinet session to tomorrow so that the budget discussions could be completed today, but the government deputies do not come to work, and the parliament is in a disorganized, shameful state.
This shows that Simonyan is unable to fully fulfill his official duty of ensuring the normal functioning of the parliament. Pashinyan demonstratively took the computer and left the hall, while Alen Simonyan politely followed him and later admitted in the corridor that "the boss was really angry". However, this story is not only about anger. In a conversation with "Zhoghovurd" daily newspaper, CP deputies said that the Prime Minister's displeasure with Simonyan is continuous.
He noticed the lack of seriousness in the NA management process for two days in a row. They explained to us that this is also why the NA Speaker has no role in the CP 2026 pre-election headquarters. In the pre-election team, Pashinyan relies on the chief of staff Arayik Harutyunyan and press affairs officer Vahagn Aleksanyan, and in the National Assembly on Ruben Rubinyan.
Deputies from Alen Simonyan's team also explained in a series of conversations with the "Zhoghovurd" daily that the obligation to bring the deputies to the hall is not reserved for the Speaker of the National Assembly, but the task of the leader and secretary of the faction. that is, Hayk Konjoryan and Artur Hovhannisyan, who was involved in the drug case, fail in their case.
Regardless of all this, it is obvious that the question of political responsibility will arise, which can be manifested in different ways. However, it is obvious that Alen Simonyan can no longer claim to be the candidate of the NA Speaker of the CP. it is already considered a confirmed fact in the KP itself."
