"Fact" daily writes:
The Ministry of Defense proposes to make changes in the government's decision N 2001-L of December 10, 2020. The adoption of the draft decision is due to the need to ensure the continuity of providing social support to the families of missing servicemen, as well as the need to create more favorable social conditions for the beneficiaries through the improvement of the legislation.
The decision of the government of December 10, 2020, "On approving the support measure for the families of servicemen missing as a result of the military operations unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27, 2020" N 2001-L provides for the provision of social support to the family of servicemen in the form of a monthly cash payment until November 2025 inclusive, in the amount of AMD 300,000 per month, but not more than until the missing serviceman is found missing by court order missing recognition. As of October 22, 2025, the provision of support to the families of 21 servicemen considered missing, who did not yet have judicial acts declaring them missing, was to be terminated from December 1, 2025.
Due to the existing realities, it is proposed to extend the support payment period up to and including December 2025. In the case of the adoption of the draft decision, the financial calculation for providing support to the families of 21 missing servicemen who are beneficiaries for the month of December 2025 is AMD 6,300,000. It is planned to attract the necessary funds through the redistribution of funds allocated to the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the 2025 state budget.
