Azerbaijan is ready to deliver Russian goods to Armenia, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk stated, "RIA Novosti" reports.

"Two days ago, the Azerbaijani side confirmed to us the possibility of transporting Russian goods through the territory of Azerbaijan to Armenia by Azerbaijani railways. In this regard, we have also made very interesting progress. Currently, "Russian Railways" together with its partners in the region are discussing the issues of organizing these cargo transportations. At the same time, we gave appropriate instructions to the Ministry of Agriculture to develop this new logistics route," Overchuk told reporters.

He also noted that the progress of Azerbaijan in the construction of the Azerbaijani part of the North-South Corridor is clearly visible.

Earlier, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, during his visit to Kazakhstan, announced that Baku is ready to allow the entry of Kazakh goods, particularly grain, into Armenia.
