Regardless of any circumstances, the political component in that case is very large, and in general, it is clear to all of us, isn't it, that these authorities have zero tolerance for dissent, Serzh Sargsyan said in response to the question about Vardan Ghukasyan.
"They are trying to silence people who express a different opinion and a different political stance at any price, by any means," Sargsyan noted.
"In this case, Vardan Ghukasyan was isolated. Vardan Ghukasyan is the candidate who received the most votes within the opposition. We did not support Vardan Ghukasyan, but the part of our people who voted for Vardan Ghukasyan," the 3rd president added.
