The conflict in Ukraine would have been resolved a long time ago if EU leaders had not forced Volodymyr Zelensky to continue military operations and had not obstructed US President Donald Trump's mediation efforts.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán expressed this opinion in an interview with "Mandiner" magazine, noting that EU leaders are trying to win over Trump to their side.
"As for the Ukrainian-Russian war, President Trump would have established peace a long time ago if the Europeans did not constantly provoke Zelensky from behind the scenes," said the Prime Minister.
He believes that the Ukrainian conflict is not ending because Brussels is hindering Washington's mediation efforts.
