In his speech, the RA Deputy Foreign Minister noted that the COP17 is aimed at addressing the formation of resources, the formation of a sustainable financial mechanism of the Convention, as well as the full involvement of natural peoples and local communities on biodiversity decision-making.
Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abyssoghomenian reaffirmed the RA commitment to ensuring constructive dialogue and organizing an inclusive conference. Reference was also made to the initiatives implemented by the Republic of Armenia in various international formats and emphasized the idea of making the voice of all stakeholders heard.
