The primary school of the Yezidi village of Ferik will become a secondary school. 44 students study here

At its meeting today, October 24, the government decided to rename "Ferik Rzalie Rashidi Ozmanyan Primary School" and make it a secondary school. As a result of this change, the "Ferik Rzalie Rashidi Ozmanyan Primary School" operating in the Ferik community (homogeneous Yazidi community) of Armavir Marz, RA - will have the status of a secondary school and the issue of obtaining secondary education for Yezidi students attending the school will be resolved without moving to another place of residence.

It should be noted that the number of students of Ferik primary school is 44 as of August 1, 2024. There is an increase in the number of children in the community. Geographically, the closest settlement to Ferik community is Haytaghgyugh of Khoy community, which is 3 kilometers away, and due to the lack of inter-community transport, serious difficulties arise in providing and continuing secondary education for students who have graduated from the school.

With this decision, the issue of obtaining secondary education for Yazidi students attending school and the problems related to the said process will be resolved. With the adoption of this project by the RA government, there will be a need to allocate additional financial resources of 383,382 drams for the 4 months of 2024, and 2,468,031 drams for 2025.
