Film genius Artavazd Peleshyan will receive an award for his contribution to world cinema

At the 34th "Message to Man" International Film Festival, the award for his contribution to world cinema will be given to one of the giants of Armenian and world cinema, the brilliant Armenian director and screenwriter Artavazd Peleshyan.

Critics call Peleshyan "a man who reinvented the laws of cinema, an elementary part of cinema, like Dziga Vertov and Sergey Eisenstein."
Peleshyan's "Spatial Editing" method is taught in most of the world's film schools, and his films are shown in major cultural venues, from MoMA in New York to Berlin and Venice festivals. From the website of the film festival, we learn that the award for his contribution to world cinema will be presented to Artavazd Peleshyan on October 26. Artavazd Peleshyan was invited to attend the festival a long time ago.

It was possible only this year. On October 25, a meeting with Artavazd Peleshyan and a screening of his films "The Seasons" (1975), "Our Century" (1982) and "Life" (1993) will take place at the St. Petersburg Cinema House.
