President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Executive Director of the Armenian Assembly of America, Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees Oscar Tatosyan and former Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees Anthony Barsamyan.
Welcoming the guests, the President noted that he is pleased to receive the representatives of the congress and is well acquainted with the work of the Armenian Assembly of America, emphasizing its significance in transferring objective information about Armenia and our region not only to the international community.
He also stressed the importance of constant employment of the Armenian-American cooperation, which is aimed at increasing Armenia's role in the region and international platforms.
During the conversation, they also exchanged views on the importance of organizing the 17th Conference on Biodiversity (COP-17) in Armenia in 2026.
Issues related to the relations between Armenia and neighboring countries, as well as the domestic political and general atmosphere were discussed at the meeting. Summing up the meeting, the President of the Republic answered the guests' questions, referring to the various realities of domestic, economic and public life.
