A telephone conversation took place between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told APA that a number of issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda were discussed during the telephone conversation, as well as various aspects of cooperation in political, economic and humanitarian spheres, regional and international security issues.
The parties exchanged views on the last sitting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation in Astrakhan on August 22 and appreciated its results.
During the conversation, thoughts were exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
Lavrov discussed issues related to regional security with his Azerbaijani counterpart
