The border demarcation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed to agree on the order and continue the process of demarcation of all sections of the border, including the issues of enclaves and exclaves, after the approval of the regulation.
The legal bases of the activity of the commissions are supplemented by the regulation. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan announced this today, on October 21, at the session of the NA Foreign Relations Committee, adding that the regulation creates opportunities for the use of additional security mechanisms for border residents.
"Procedural issues related to the agreement on the state border between RA and Azerbaijan to be concluded later are also being regulated, in which the establishment of the international legal bases of the RA state border is a legal guarantee of ensuring the security and territorial integrity of RA. It follows from the regulation that in the future between the two countries international agreement on the state border, it will go through domestic procedures, after which the description of crossing the border will come into force," he said.
