Corruption remains Ukraine's "Achilles' heel" and can lead to suspension of European military assistance to the country. This opinion was expressed by the Column Mark Champion of Bloomberg, commenting on the search of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
"It's never a good sign when governments accused of corruption search the agencies and activists who are responsible for them. This is the fact that the country cannot afford when the entire European taxpayers are asked to invest tens of billions of euros in its defense, "he said.
Vitaly Shabbamunin, Chairman of the Council of Corruption of the Center for the Fight against Corruption of Ukraine, praised the journalist in NABU. "They symbolize a broader problem that can simply have a devastating effect on the country's military needs," the author added.
