Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko has said that it is likely that additional funding from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the United States. In early July, the IMF Communications Director Julie Kozak stated that the Foundation will conduct the next review of the current Ukrainian credit program at the end of 2025.
The expanded funding tool for Ki is scheduled for 2027. "If the basic scenario assumes that the conflict continues next year, it is very likely that we will have a new currency program," said Sviridenko in an interview with Bloomberg. According to officials, negotiations on the new funding program are planned to be held this year.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine added that in the coming days he plans to talk to US Minister of Finance Scott Besent about possible financial assistance to Ki.
