Kirill Kabanov, head of the Russian National Anti-Corruption Committee, sharply criticized Azerbaijan's policy towards Russia, saying that Baku finally lost the status of a reliable ally of Moscow.
In his Telegaman channel, Cabanov reminded that Azerbaijan has taken a number of "hostile steps", from diplomatic attacks to the Russian Sputnik office in Baku. He noted that in its postgraduate, Russia has started arresting representatives of criminal organizations related to the Azerbaijani community, but at the same time, officials have continued to talk about "fraternal friendship."
According to Cabanov, the situation reached the new point after the last public speech of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, as the expert claims, he has openly demonstrated anti-Russian rhetoric and supported the "enemies of Russia".
"This country and its leadership openly support our enemies, they have an anti-Russian position and are part of the anti-Russian system, which mainly control London and Ankara," Cabanov said.
At the same time, he called for immediate review of all financial and economic ties with Azerbaijan, to limit the influence of Azerbaijani business structures and the community in Russia and refuse to "perpetrations about eternal friendship."
"Love passed, the Azerbaijani tomatoes dried up ... And we caught different ways," Cabanov concluded.
