In order to protect the rights of national companies, the Chinese authorities will respond to the 18th package of anti-Russian sanctions on the European Union (EU) with decisive means. The Ministry of Trade of China stated this.
"China claims that the European Party immediately refuses to include Chinese enterprises and financial institutions in the wrongdoing lists of sanctions," the statement published on the website of the Ministry of Commerce said. "China will take the necessary measures, we will strongly protect the legal rights and interests of Chinese companies."
The Ministry of Commerce draws attention to the fact that EU sanctions "contradict the spirit of mutual understanding" and "have a serious negative impact on trade and economic relations between China and the European Union, as well as financial cooperation."
The comment states that China has already submitted applications to the European side on such unilateral measures by Brussels.
