On July 17, the General Intelligence Department of the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out large-scale cyber attacks on the computers and servers of Russian Gazprom and about 400 subsidiaries. The source of the intelligence department told Kyiv Independent about this.
According to preliminary information, as a result of the attack, large-scale data were destroyed and a special software was installed for further damage to information systems. According to the source, more than 20,000 system administrators have been deprived of access to Gazprom's domestic systems, and data duplicated has been completely destroyed.
