Yulia Sviridenko, a new Prime Minister of Ukraine

Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada has appointed Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko. 262 People's Deputies voted for the decision, this was reported by the RBC-Ukraine. Thus, 39-year-old Sviridenko has become the second female prime minister in the history of Ukraine for the last 15 years.

Before appointing Prime Minister, Yulia Sviridenko held the positions of the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

Until this prime minister was held by Denis Shamihal, which was the longest in the history of Ukraine for more than 5 years. Earlier it was reported that Shmiamhal would be appointed Minister of Defense, but now RBC-Ukraine writes that he is one of the candidates for the Ukrainian ambassador to the United States.
