The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) will send additional units to the border zone with Syria, the army's press service reported.

"Based on the assessment of the situation, it is decided to increase the forces of the Israeli Defense Army on the Syrian border," the statement said.

The press service noted that the Israeli military "appreciates the situation regularly", after which "the necessary composition of forces in different areas is determined in accordance with these assessments."
