US Deputy Defense Minister John Non will visit the Asia-Pacific region to assess the US military cooperation with the region's partners and the US trilateral military partnership in Washington's foreign policy priorities, the Japanese Nikkei Asia portal reports.
According to him, the Deputy Chief of Pentagon will first leave for Australia, where he will hold talks on the supply of Virginia's nuclear submarines to the Austrian Nuclear Submaremar, which has been agreed on further cooperation within the USA.
The portal notes that the issue of participating in the military alliance with the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom has been re-elected during the recent review of the American military strategy by the Pentagon.
