France has rejected the program to buy a joint weapon for Ukraine

France will not support US President Donald Trump on the expense of American weapons at the expense of European countries, Politico Europe reports, citing its sources.

The publication notes that France's President Emanuel Mcno has long been protecting Europeans from investing in his own defense, buying weapons from European producers.

"Paris will not join the initiative to buy American weapons for this reason," the article explains.

On July 14, Trump promised Kiev to new weapons and equipment, including Patriot anti-aircraft protection systems. He stressed that they are needed to protect Ukraine, as Russian President Vladimir Putin is "speaking beautiful, but everyone bombs everyone in the evening."
