Hungary will not finance the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine if the United States officially apply to the European Union with such a proposal. This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto, commenting on the possible resumption of Washington to Kiev on a possible resumption of military aid at the request of journalists.
"I would like to emphasize that Hungarian money, Hungarian weapons and Hungarian soldiers will not be sent to Ukraine. Nothing will be sent there at a press conference after the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Morocco and Trade in Budapest at a news conference.
At the same time, Syyarto expressed confidence that the possible resumption of US weapons supplies to Ukraine does not mean that US President Donald Trump has refused to resolve the conflict.
"I can only say that no one has done so much for peace in Ukraine as Trump. And if European and Ukrainian leaders did not hinder Donald Trump in recent months, the efforts of this peace could be much more successful, "he said.
