Tehran states that it has not suspended cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), but that cooperation has "received a new way." "From now on, relations with the IAEA will be settled by the Supreme National Security Council (NSCs)," said Iran's State Mehrash news agency, quoting the statement made by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on July 12.
"The request to continue cooperation with Iran will be discussed by the Supreme National Security Council and decisions will be made taking into account security issues," the diplomat said.
It noted that the approach of the Islamic Republic of the Islamic Republic, which were attacked by Israeli and the United States, "currently contains risks, including radioactive materials and explosions."
"And we think that security issue is a matter of concern when IAEA inspectors approach those facilities," he added.
