The agreement on the establishment of a new state in New Caledonia was signed in the suburbs of Paris. Politico reports about this.
"The new state will not be completely independent of France," the statement said. It is noted that the agreement will give a broad autonomy of the latter, it is also planned to create a separate citizen of the new Caledonia.
The latter will be handed over powers in the field of international relations. The document now must pass a referendum in the French parliament.
