German Chancellor Friedrich Merz addressed the conference in Rome to the Russian Federation, the US Federation, the US and Slovakia.
Thus, the first message of the German politician was aimed at Moscow and Russian President Vladimir Putin. It was short. "We will not be handed over," Merz said.
The German Chancellor addressed his second message to US President Donald Trump. He asked the American leader to stay with the Europeans.
"We have the same interests, we strive for a stable political order in this world," Merz concluded.
He asked the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico to stop resistance and "open the way to the 18th package of sanctions" within the framework of the European Union.
