Finland President Alexander Stubk believes that it will not be possible to reach a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict by the end of summer.
"I am optimistic for a week, another week, pessimistic. Now I am very pessimistic that before the end of the summer, it will be possible to sign a ceasefire, "he said to the Canadian CBC.
Stub added that before the funeral of Pope Francis in the Vatican, he encouraged the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelopeki to be a ceasefire. The President of Finland also stressed that everything is going on "to the point where everyone understands that it is time to stop the conflict."
