The 16-year-old teenager knife attacked children and a teacher in one of the schools in the southern Brazilian, NDTV reported.
The local authorities said that the incident took place on Tuesday at Riyry Grande at Maria Nasimento Jacomatsi School. According to the media, nine-year-old boy received incompatible injuries with life. An eight-year-old girl and a 34-year-old teacher also tried to stop the attacker. According to the police, both are in the hospital, steady.
Although the type of weapons was not officially called, the Speaker of the Local City Council Gemerson Zimerman stated that the victims were stabbed. He added that the suspect was familiar with teachers and received psychological counseling.
Zimerman said that the security of the school was recently strengthened by additional fences and guards in the background of the growth of attacks on Brazilian schools.
