The Republic of Korea and the United States will try to reach new tariff agreements until August 1, when the 25% tariffs announced by US President Donald Trump will enter into force.
Negotiations were held in Washington on July 7 between the Head of the Security Department of the South Korea President V. Sungo Rubio. They "discussed in detail" the development of bilateral relations and issues related to high-level exchanges.
Vi Song Lak said that the South Korean side hopes to hold a bilateral summit soon, where it can be achieved "on all urgent issues of mutually beneficial results."
