The European Union is preparing to use Russia's severmost sanctions since 2022.
The statement came from French Foreign Minister Jean-Nelel Baro on LCI.
"The EU, coordinating its efforts with US senators, is going to impose the strongest sanctions on the last three years, based on French proposals," he said.
According to him, the sanctions will affect Russia's oil revenues, Russian financial players and other countries that help Russia bypass restrictive measures.
Baro noted that sanctions should hinder Russia to continue hostilities against Ukraine.
