The Committee on Civil Society Development and Human Rights under the Russian President applied to Azerbaijan with a proposal to reduce tensions in relations between countries. This was reported to the Telegramian Channel of the Commission.

The commission noted that Moscow and Baku are fraternal countries and seek to develop partnership in many areas. Recently, Azerbaijan has recently made several unfriendly statements and actions against the Russians in the country. Within the framework of the consular assistance, the Russian Embassy in Baku received worrying messages from tourists, businessmen and journalists.

The situation around the employees of "Sputnik Azerbaijan" radio, which was arrested by security forces and moved to penitentiaries without the possibility of organizing the protection of their legal rights and interests, deserves special attention.

"We consider it extremely important to eliminate the split and return to the strategic interstate partnership based on the principles of partnership, humanitarianism, justice and international humanitarian law," the statement said.
