US Secretary of State Marco Ruboy has allowed further mitigation of sanctions against Syria, the State Department's press service in a statement after a conversation between RUBIO and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Sheybani.
According to the document, the Foreign Ministers discussed the cancellation of a significant part of the US sanctions against Syria.
"The Secretary of State has confirmed that further steps will be discussed to reconsider the decisions on the inclusion of certain persons in the United States and the United Nations," the statement said.
At the same time, Rubions stated that the United States does not intend to eliminate sanctions against former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his relatives.
