The US President Donald Trump's administration has suspended more than $ 6 billion from the Federal Budget for additional educational programs, ABC News reports, citing the explanatory writing of the Ministry of Education.
"The ministry will not publish the distribution of grants by July 1, which obliges the allocation of funds for these programs.
"The ministry continues to be committed to ensuring that taxpayers are spent in accordance with the president's priorities," the document reads. It is noted that the reduced programs include programs after school, students' support and English language teaching.
Bobby Scott (Democrat, Virginia), a member of the House of Education and Labor Committee, called the Federal Law's violation, which would "harm disciples, teachers and schools."
