After returning to US President Donald Trump, the first summit with African leaders will take place in Washington on July 9-11, SEMAFOR reports, citing sources.

According to their information, leaders of Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania and Senegal will arrive in the US capital. Washington plans to discuss cooperation with West African in the field of mineral reserves, as well as regional security issues at the summit.

In addition, Semafor notes that a bigger US-Africa summit is planned in the fall. It is planned to be held in September in New York.
