Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to open a new page to expand comprehensive cooperation with the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, Pars Today reports.
"Given the need for solidarity between Islamic countries and also for the development of regional relations, we are ready to cooperate with this regional structure. We believe that the Persian Gulf should be a symbol of peace and cooperation between the countries of the region, and these relations can be a message of fraternity for the Islamic world, "he said.
Emphasizing the "Neighborhood Policy" strategy, he said. "The government pays special attention to the expansion of relations with neighboring countries, and we believe that the strengthening of cooperation with the Persian Gulf Cooperation may play an important role in promoting peace and security in the region."
The Iranian president also considered the development of relations with regional countries a fundamental strategy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was also paid to the promotion of the 14th government.
"The rapprochement of regional countries can make a bright future for the Islamic world in the light of common interests," Pezeshkian concluded.
