Canada will provide $47 million in military aid to Kyiv

Canadian authorities intend to send a military aid package worth 64.8 million Canadian dollars (47 million US dollars) to Ukraine. This was reported by the Reuters agency, citing Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair.

The package provides for the supply of firearms, ammunition and protective equipment. The funds will also be used for the training of Ukrainian servicemen. This aid will be directed from the package of 500 million Canadian dollars (362.6 million US dollars) intended for Ukraine's military needs, the allocation of which was announced by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in July.

Since the start of Russian military operations in Ukraine in February 2022, Canada has provided 4.5 billion Canadian dollars (3.26 billion US dollars) in military aid to Ukraine.
