Modi will attend the BRICS summit in Kazan

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Russia to participate in the BRICS summit to be held in Kazan. This was reported by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

"Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will visit Russia from October 22 to 23, 2024, at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, His Excellency Mr. Vladimir Putin, to participate in the 16th BRICS summit to be held in Kazan under the chairmanship of Russia," the message said.

According to the department, the meeting will become an important platform for leaders to discuss key global issues. "It is expected that during his visit, the Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings in Kazan with his counterparts and invited leaders of the BRICS member states," the Indian Foreign Ministry added. Chinese President Xi Jinping will also participate in the BRICS summit to be held in Kazan.
