The European Parliament held a meeting dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on April 3, while paying serious attention to the forced deportation of ethnic Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported by the Armenian Federation of Europe of Justice and Democracy.

The European deputies held a comparison between the Armenian Genocide and the events of recent years, noting that the recent events are the dangerous consequences of Turkey and Azerbaijan, not to provide historical responsibility.

"Recognition and reconciliation require courage to resist the past and build the future on the historical truth. This is especially important today, when hundreds of thousands of people have been forced to leave Nagorno Karabakh as a result of the atrocities of Azerbaijan, "said Miriam Lexman from the EPP faction.
