Ukraine has asked the US to provide more intelligence data on Russian troops and Russian facilities. NYT:

According to American and Ukrainian officials, Ukraine has asked the US President Joe Biden's administration to provide more intelligence on the location of Russian troops and military facilities on Russian territory, as Ukrainian troops try to hold positions during the war, The New York Times wrote.

A group of members of the Ukrainian parliament met with members of Congress in Washington to persuade the United States to allow American weapons to be used in Russia.

Ukraine's requests have become more persistent in recent weeks, as Russia took advantage of the delay in American arms deliveries and intensified military operations in the Kharkiv region, the American periodical emphasized.

But the official representatives of the White House said that the policy of the administration remains unchanged. The United States does not encourage and will not allow attacks inside Russia.

US officials claim that they do not want US weapons to be used in cross-border attacks and their intelligence to be used to target Russian targets.

According to them, this request was received in the last days, and the representatives of the administration started discussing it. Previously, such applications were rejected.

The newspaper noted that the US is providing Ukraine with some intelligence on Russian troops in Russia, such as troops being prepared for potential attacks. Ukraine also has access to commercial satellite imagery that allows it to see Russian activity at major military bases.

Ukrainian officials say they need to increase the number and effectiveness of their cross-border attacks to force Russia to end the war. For that, they say, they need more real-time intelligence and additional information from allies about what US and European officials say are the most important targets.
