"The Indian Prime Minister has concluded a very meaningful and productive visit to the United States, which took place just three weeks after the inauguration of the US President, which shows the priority of India-US relations," he said. According to him, the talks between Modi and Trump lasted almost four hours, including discussions in narrow and expanded formats.
"The discussions covered a wide range of issues, ranging from strategic cooperation and ties in the fields of security, defense, trade and economic cooperation, technology, energy security and people-to-people contacts to issues of regional and global concern," Misri said. He said that a joint statement was adopted after the visit, which will be published soon.
The Indian Prime Minister was in Washington for two days at the invitation of Trump.
