Indian Foreign Ministry calls Modi's visit to the US effective

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the United States was productive and substantive, and his talks with US President Donald Trump lasted about four hours. This was stated by India's First Deputy Foreign Minister Vikram Misri at a briefing.

"The Indian Prime Minister has concluded a very meaningful and productive visit to the United States, which took place just three weeks after the inauguration of the US President, which shows the priority of India-US relations," he said. According to him, the talks between Modi and Trump lasted almost four hours, including discussions in narrow and expanded formats.

"The discussions covered a wide range of issues, ranging from strategic cooperation and ties in the fields of security, defense, trade and economic cooperation, technology, energy security and people-to-people contacts to issues of regional and global concern," Misri said. He said that a joint statement was adopted after the visit, which will be published soon.

The Indian Prime Minister was in Washington for two days at the invitation of Trump.
