Senior Ukrainian and Western officials have told the Financial Times that US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will seek to secure a ceasefire in Ukraine in April or May.
This is stated in the publication of the newspaper. FT sources believe that Trump and Putin “will try to secure a ceasefire on one of two important dates in the coming days: Easter, which the Orthodox and Catholic churches will celebrate on April 20, or May 9, when Russia will celebrate the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany.”
“Putin will want to mark such an important date,” the Ukrainian official said.
