Nikol Pashinyan and Emmanuel Macron met

The meeting of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan with the President of France Emmanuel Macron took place at the Elysee Palace.

The French President welcomed the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and thanked him for accepting the invitation to participate in the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit to be held in Paris. He emphasized the importance of the continuous development of multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and France and reaffirmed France’s support for ensuring Armenia’s development and stability.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan thanked for the warm hospitality, emphasizing that 2024 was a very dynamic year in terms of Armenia-France relations. The Prime Minister emphasized that numerous meetings have taken place between the leaders and departments of the two countries, regular contacts are maintained, and today the relations between Armenia and France have reached a new level.

During the meeting, the leaders of Armenia and France discussed a number of issues of developing bilateral cooperation, including the prospects for implementing joint programs in the economy, infrastructure, road construction, energy, education, tourism and other sectors.

The peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the ongoing developments towards demarcation, as well as the unblocking of regional communication routes within the framework of the “Crossroads of Peace” project were discussed. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the commitment of the RA Government to the peace agenda. A number of other issues of regional importance were also discussed.

The parties exchanged views on the prospects for further development of Armenia-European Union cooperation, as well as the continued promotion of the agenda of democratic reforms in our country.
