The United States will buy Italian wine in the case of customs duties

American importers, after the victory of US President Donald Trump, go to Italian fertile wine Prosecco, fearing that he will determine customs duties on it, according to the Associated Press, citing the data of the Italian Wine Manufacturers Association.

"American importers are buying Italian Prosecco, as a precautionary measure against the possible impact of customs duties threatening by President Donald Trump," said the agency.

It is noted that the import of Italian foam wines has increased sharply after the victory of the Trump, reaching 41%, significantly exceeding the demand.

According to the head of the association Lamberto Freskobaldal, the additional purchases are natural, especially considering the uncertainty whether the duties will affect Italian wines.

According to the Associated Press, customs duties have not affected Italy's wines during the first presidential period of Trump.

However, the country exports almost a quarter of the United States to the United States, so customs duties may strike a heavy blow to the industry.
