Iran is not against the introduction of a unified currency of BRICS

Iran is ready to switch to the use of a single currency if the participating countries decide to apply it. The statement came from Fatem Mohajeran, the official representative of the Government of the Islamic Republic.
"If BRICS member states come to the conclusion of a single and common currency, we will also do it in national interests," Moajeran said at the weekly briefing.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump threatened to set customs duties on goods to BRICS if they create a new currency or refuse the dollar. Spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the creation of a single currency in BRICS was not discussed and does not even speak, the formation of general investment platforms is being discussed.

The Brics group was founded in 2006, South Africa, Brazil, Russia, India and China joined the staff in 2011.
