Kyiv is still not going to stop the transit of oil from Russia to Europe, it will violate the association agreement with the EU, announced the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmygal.
Member of Parliament of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko reported on January 7 that the "European Solidarity" party has registered a bill on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the complete ban on the transit of oil and gas from the Russian Federation.
The suspension of oil transit through the Druzhba oil pipeline by Ukraine will be a direct violation of the Energy Charter Treaty and the Association Agreement with the EU.
There we are not talking about penalties, but about the violation of the association agreement with the EU," Shmigal was quoted as saying by the Ukrainian Espresso TV channel.
