US President Joe Biden believes that progress has been made in the negotiations on the release of the hostages of the Palestinian radical Hamas movement and the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He announced this on Thursday in the White House, answering the questions of journalists, writes Barron.
"We are making real progress, I met with the negotiators today," said the American leader.
"I still hope we can do a prisoner exchange," Biden added, referring to the exchange of hostages held in Gaza for Palestinian prisoners.
"Now Hamas is preventing such an exchange," he said.
