Air carriers are advised not to use Russian airspace. EU

After the crash of the AZAL plane, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) tightened its recommendations for EU airlines, as well as third-country air carriers that have a European aviation safety certificate. Ria Novosti writes about this.

In particular, air carriers were advised not to use Russian airspace at all levels of flights "west of the 60th meridian east."

"The instruction applies to foreign air carriers authorized by the European Aviation Safety Agency," the document says.
