The Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill on basic military training in the final reading, excluding the possibility of women's mobilization in the armed forces of Ukraine. This was reported by Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko (included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation).
"There will be no mobilization of women. Completion of basic military training for women is only voluntary, and after that the registration of military service is also exclusively voluntary," he wrote.
In addition, according to the document, men aged 18-25 can independently choose one year of basic military training before turning 24. The bill also allows young people abroad who turn 18 to register for military service without coming to Ukraine. At the same time, registration of conscripts at regional recruitment centers (military registration and military commissariats) is introduced from the age of 17.
