Volodymyr Zelensky has signed the bill on strengthening the control over gaming business in Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zhelezniak announced.
On December 4, "Zheleznyak" reported that the Parliament of Ukraine adopted a bill on strengthening control over gambling business in Ukraine. According to him, in particular, the document envisages the liquidation of the gambling and lotteries regulation commission.
Instead, by April 1, 2025, a new authorized body will be formed and a ministry will be appointed to formulate policies in the field of gambling. Access to illegal gambling sites and mobile applications is also restricted, payments for gambling are made exclusively through cash bank accounts, and accepting installment bets is prohibited.
