Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed hope that the Ukrainian conflict will be settled in 2025, noting that ensuring a just peace is a priority for Ankara. He announced this in a New Year's video message to the nation, which was distributed by his administration.

"Our priority is to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, our neighbors on the Black Sea, in a just peace.

We hope that a new era will begin in our north in 2025," said the Turkish president.
