The perception that Yerevan Municipality is obliged to carry out improvement in all parts of the city is simply not true.
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan said this today, December 16, during the administrative meeting of the Yerevan Municipality.
"Yerevan municipality has its scope of powers, business owners have theirs, condominiums have their scope of responsibilities," the mayor emphasized.
It was noted that according to the decision of the Yerevan Council of Elders, business owners are obliged to clear the snow in the areas adjacent to their place of business, and after the cessation of precipitation, to free the asphalt concrete cover and tiled sections of the sidewalks from snow and ice accumulations, as well as to organize seasonal landscaping and improvement of the area.
The new Yerevan Local Government Law will significantly tighten the measures for unfulfilled obligations.
